Mira Betz workshop, June 2008 workshop is sold out!! |
|
Make room in your calendars – this summer the one and only Mira Betz will be making her very first trip to Alaska to teach workshops in sunny Fairbanks. Mira is well-known throughout the Middle Eastern dance community for her gooey slow movements, impeccable timing and technique, and knowledge of traditional Moroccan folk dances. She’s a well-kept secret in the San Francisco Bay area, but the word is getting out. Sharon Kihara sang Mira’s praises at 3rd Coast 2007, and when Heather Stants was asked to recommend a dancer to study with, she pointed to Mira. Cold Fusion Tribal Dance is proud to help Mira make her northern debut. Mira will be teaching for 8 hours on June 28 and 29. She’ll also be taking the stage in a special showcase on June 27, "Dark Fairytales." Cold Fusion Tribal Dance is working to find inexpensive accommodations for out-of-town dancers during the workshops. If you may be interested in attending the workshops, please contact Mary Haley. |
